Hello everyone!
Figured that an introduction might be in order, if I am to be posting on here regularly (which I truly, deeply, sincerely hope that I do). This is a work in progress, and as of right now the most updated version of this sticky post is from 21 April, 2026.

THE BASICS
-ˋˏ ༻❀ Jasmine (she/her), early 30's, USA, romantic & daydreamer, witchy. ❀༺ˎˊ-
❀ I have been around the Internet for a long while, even when I was much too young to have have business poking my little nose about. Then again, I think the same can be said for most of us.
❀ Currently settled in the West Coast of the USA, aiming to move abroad to be with my beloved.
❀ I am a mixed race woman. Filipino (Bulacan province) and Black-American (Louisiana Creole) on my mother's side, and Mexican-American (Sonora, with Yoeme and O'odham roots). Plus a mishmash of Western and Southern European that many of us see because of colonialism.
❀ My spiritual practice is important to me, and a lot of what I practice is ancestor-based (though not entirely). I'm unsure if I will post much about that here, even with a friend lock, but we shall see.
❀ With that being said, I probably won't post much about current global politics - and if I do it will be under a "read more" and with an explicit warning. I make sure to stay informed, but honestly, this is my space where I come to relax.
❀ What you will see here is a lot of me posting my musings about my life in California as it is, my endeavors to learn Finnish, anything that I find interesting in regards to folklore and mythology, anecdotes about my boyfriend, my family, his family, and my friends, endless gushing about my Maltipoo, and an endless quest to become a (hopefully) better person.
❀ My favorite genre of music is just about anything that falls under the rock and metal umbrella. Symphonic metal, and especially the band, Nightwish is where my soul's home dwells. I also love and adore folk, power, progressive, melodeath, and ambient metal. For rock, I'm definitely a fan of classic, hard rock, country rock, swamp rock, folk rock, and medieval rock. If I go to a concert, please expect many pictures and much gushing!
❀ My hobbies are simple: writing, drawing, jewelry making, reading, tarot, gaming, taking nature walks and learning about local flora/fauna, haunted history, the occult, and being creative in general.
❀ I like fandom-based stuff, but I'm trying to make it less of my entire personality like I did in my teens and twenties.
